Dossier is Wordle for detectives: one free murder mystery drops every day, the same case for everyone, and you compare solve times with friends. But unlike a puzzle with fixed answers, every Dossier case is generated: suspects, motives, alibis, and red herrings that have never existed before.
The heart of the game is interrogation. Suspects aren't dialogue trees. They're AI characters you question in free-form conversation. Press them on their alibi, catch them contradicting themselves, and accuse when you're sure. No two players have the same interrogation.
The Challenge
AI-generated mysteries are easy to make and very hard to make fair. Every case must be solvable from the evidence, internally consistent under any line of questioning, and delivered fresh daily to both app stores, all while conversations with suspects feel alive without breaking character or leaking the answer.
The Solution
We built a case-generation pipeline that constructs each mystery as a verified logic structure before any prose is written, so the clues always add up. On top of it: real-time AI interrogations with character guardrails, a daily case system, ranks and streaks, and a Detective Pro subscription, all shipped as one React Native codebase for iOS and Android.
